The Componon 28mm is one of the most popular enlarging lenses out there and for good reasons, they are small, compact, reasonably priced and offer excellent results when setup properly.

The Componon 28mm f4 is one of my very first photomacrography lenses I have ever owned and one of my favorites still to this day.
Left to right, the Componon 4/28 cylinder barrel, the all-metal 5-blade iris mode, the 2.8/28 machine vision makro-iris type, on the right, the chrome 15-blade Componon 4/28 and on the far right, the black chrome 4/28 Componon. All of these versions are very good performers for macro photography.
