A Moritex F90C lens has arrived via DHL last week from China. I usually don’t post the arrival of new equipment but the F90C is a very rare ultra-high-resolution machine vision lens with an extra-large image circle. These are almost impossible to find, I’ve seen exactly one of these in the last couple of years and I was able to buy it thanks to John at Chendata. Thank you John!
DHL flew the lens from Shanghai to Los Angeles and cleared customs, all in one Calendar day, that has to be some kind of record!

Online test comparisons of macro lenses do not actually test the lenses at 1x. In almost all cases they are tested and compared at infinity. In this test we compare three consumer macro lenses against the king of 1x image quality, the Printing-NIKKOR 105mm F2.8A, all compared at 1x.
The consumer market macro lenses are getting better and better closing the gap between consumer macro and specialized industrial lenses. The Sigma Art tested here is one of the best lenses we’ve ever tested and surely the best lens mass-produced macro lens.
This is by far the highest performing group of lenses I’ve ever tested.
